Clay Clinic - A Two Hour Intensive For Existing Students & Members

$25.00

January 22, 2027 | 6pm - 8pm

**This is an add on class for existing Silk City Clay students and members only**

Ready to strengthen your throwing fundamentals? This two-hour intensive is designed as an add on class for current Silk City Clay students and members who want to slow down, focus on the basics, and refine their technique.

Working with studio reclaim, we’ll drill down into the foundations of wheel throwing—centering, opening, and pulling walls. Students will practice throwing cylinders and cut each one in half so we can examine the form from the inside out, identify where things are working (or not), and make adjustments with each round.

This is a focused, hands-on opportunity to build muscle memory, troubleshoot common throwing challenges, and gain a better understanding of what your hands are actually doing at each stage of the process. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced potter, these focused skill drills are a great way to revisit the fundamentals and strengthen your technique.

Clay Clinic will be offered once per session, with limited seats available. We encourage everyone—from beginners to advanced throwers—to take advantage of this opportunity to slow down, practice, and build confidence at the wheel.

Come ready to get messy, ask questions, and throw a lot of cylinders!
